Paper Rex begin their rebuild with two major departures

The story

Paper Rex have parted with d4v41 and Jinggg as the organisation prepares for the next VALORANT season.

Esports Insider reports that neither player had announced a destination at the time of its report. The departures follow Paper Rex’s seventh-to-eighth-place finish at Champions 2026.

A long partnership changes

Captain d4v41 had been with the organisation since 2020, initially competing in Counter-Strike before moving to VALORANT. Jinggg joined in 2021. Both were part of the roster that won Masters Toronto in 2025.

Paper Rex retain a VCT Pacific partner position for 2027–28. That gives the club a place from which to rebuild, while the two departing players enter an offseason in which roster announcements will determine their next competitive steps.
