The story

Blizzard’s November 5 Overwatch hotfix changes Wrecking Ball’s Grappling Claw movement and addresses competitive interface issues.

The update raises the ability’s base retraction speed cap by 15% and allows allied speed boosts to influence that cap. It is a targeted movement adjustment rather than a new hero release.

Fixes alongside the balance change

The patch also addresses a Competitive Drive issue involving signatures and a Stadium scoreboard problem. Blizzard says replay codes from the November 3 patch remain available after the hotfix.

For players reviewing recent games, that continuity means the small update does not invalidate those replay references. The official patch notes remain the place to check the exact changes before comparing Wrecking Ball’s movement with earlier matches.
