The story

Harry Kane has extended his Bayern Munich contract until 2029, settling his future beyond the final year of his previous agreement.

BBC Sport reports that the England captain signed after a season in which he scored 61 goals in 51 Bayern appearances as the club completed a domestic double. His original four-year contract followed his move from Tottenham in 2023.

Bayern keep their leading scorer

The agreement gives Bayern continuity in attack and keeps Kane at the club through Euro 2028. Kane described his family as happy in Munich and expressed a desire to win more trophies.

The extension also moves any potential return to England further into the future. The immediate consequence is clear: Bayern can plan around their striker beyond the end of this season.
